A child named Nkosi

It is about a child born in south Afric with HIV positive . Their family was infected by that diease and that his mother died soon. This story is very sad as it was about the family very determined in everything they do. Their days are numbered. This child Nkosi is said to be the child that lived the longest with that diease. He was only 8 Years old. He later became slightly known due to speeches he gave in conferences and also in contact with a pop star. When his mother died he was taken in by a woman called Gail. It is very touching on how Gail agreed to take him in. Shes was a kind person and the boy had enjoyed his life then. However his health deteriorating and on June 2001, the boy passed away. It was very sad to see a boy his age died.

The article features surveys and statistics about parents knowing their children. The article rates that mothers know their children best. Fortunately it also implies that children respects their fathers and that fathers give them more freedom. I think that is quite true. Im actually closer to my mum. I prefer to tell her my problems rather than my father. Another opinion that mothers are quite nosey! They would want to ask you about your problems and restrict your freedom. May be not. They are just concern about us. When I ask my friends they also say that their mums can be over protective over them. I think that my parents should know me equally well. Statistics show that fathers do not really know their child well. That can be also due to the heavy work they face everyday. However some fathers prove likewise.

Understanding Dreams

This article is about dreams being related to us. I think that it is quite true as when i do things during the day, i would remember it later. Dreams also have an impact on us. When i have a nightmare, i would wake up the next day and try to figure out what it means. eg. a dream about losing friends. I would wake up and try to be a better person so i would not lose them in reality. Sometimes dreams can change the life of a person. I even dream of people dying! However most dreams are based on peoples' own occurance in their lives. Studies shows that if you think about a person, chances of you dreaming about them are higher. One thing still remains a mystery to me. When i dreamed of an event and when i wake up, the event would take place exactly in what i see in my dreams! Night visions serve a very pratical purpose. Scientists says that dream analysis are rubbish. That im not sure. Sometimes those analysis are right!

My Hobby is sleeping and reading. Reading is wonderous. It allows me to gain knowledge and yet give me ideas for my compositions. The kind of books i like to read are fantasy stories. One of them is eragon. Fantasy stories give me the thrills of medivel times or even now in the present. I used to dream about these stories. Sleeping is also my favorite because its very refreshing to wake up. I also read in my bed so i can instantly sleep at the same time =p Sleeping allows me to think better the next day. However due to thes habits..my degree of my glasses are going up=[

My favourite book is Harry Potter. All of the books appeal to me but I prefer a specific one. The Prisoner Of Askaban. The stories are interesting and makes me want to keep on rereading them! My favorite character is Harry Himself. However sometimes he can be quite irritating in the book such as being impulsive. I already read the 6th book. Sad to read that Dumbledore has died. There are articles about him noting dying at all. It was a play. Many were still conviced that he survived. It was fascinating how people actually come up with these theories.

My Favorite Subject
That is History. I don't take it however. I take geography. History is a cool and fun subject. It allows us to know about the past events and can be quite interesting. Some may think its boring. I take geography as its about maps and stuff. I learn about Humans and how they change our physical environment. Sadly i my school refuses to let us take pure geography. Thus we only study human geograpy. I wished i can actually take both of them. Literature is also appealing but can be quite difficult especially if we don't know how to 'feel' for the character.

My favorite game is chess. I play both chinese and international chess. However im better in international chess. I enjoy playing them as it requires you to use your brain. Ive been playing chess since I was primary 1. Contary to popular beliefs, chess however is not the oldest game in the world. Ive been trying to find players to play with me. No one is interested though.

My Happiest Day of my life...
Is when I went to the Zoological Gardens in Singapore. I went with my family. It was an enjoyable time of my life. Ive been to the Zoological gardens quite a few times. This was the best as we went to the night safari. The place was dark yet it was exciting. There i get to see some bigs cats that are active during the the night. I also learned that the eyes of cats reflects light so the appear scary. I also got lost during that trip. However i managed to find my way back with the help of some visitors there. I may consider going to the safari in Africa.

My sadiest day of my life...
Is when my pet tortoise disappeared! I did not know what happened to it. I was using the computer and was not looking at my pet. When I looked back i was gone! At first I thought it was just hiding somewhere. However later I decided to look for it but to no avail. That was the last time i saw my pet...

My favorite movie is Lord Of The Rings. I love the movie because is interesting yet it delivers the qualities such as hope and sacrifice. The movie is quite adventurous and yet its partly romance. The effects and animations are also cool and good. The trilogy is nice but i prefer the final one. The Return Of The King. However I think that people are prejudiced toward it to rate it all 5 stars. Personally I do not think that all three deserve 5 stars. I think the second one deserves 4 stars. Its a bit too dark for my liking.
